The model of Ashford’s World War I tank was built by Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) apprentices.
The model was built following a request by Ashford Museum to 44 Command Workshop, which was based at Rowcroft Barracks, Ashford, to build a tank shaped money box.
Apprentices, D. Blackmer and P. Chapman built the model of Ashford’s Tank in 1992.
