Opening Hours

From April to 28th October: Tuesday to Saturday,
11am until 2pm, except Good Friday

Out of hours visits

We can usually open the Museum for special visits outside of the above hours, but please contact us, giving reasonable notice, so that we can arrange for volunteers to be present for your visit.

Schools and youth organisations

The museum can offer talks and quizzes on local history, which links in with the national curriculum, to schools and youth groups. On occasions we allow the children to handle some of the artefacts or objects on display.

The building allows approximately 25 at any visit but we are always happy to discuss splitting large groups.

All groups are welcomed e.g.: Scouts and Guides, Youth clubs and other youth organisations.

Outreach

We are able to accommodate other organisations by giving a talk on local history, a slide show or a quiz at your venue.
