Railway Archive

 

The books listed below may be viewed in the Museum, they contain historical photographs, copies of map and documents, names of staff members and some personal memories.
 

They were collated and prepared by John Blackford, the first two relating to his own experiences before and during employment at the Ashford Railway Works in the 1940's to mid 1950's. Copies of these can also be seen at the National Railway Museum in York.
